ReStructure Mix Update (9/15/19) “Rotation” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Herb Alpert

Herb Alpert burst upon the disco/dance scene in 1979 with his big album “Rise” – the title track served for a crossover in his own style. Another notable track from the project is “Rise” which also was released as a 12” dance single. This one is a hypnotic piece which gives Alpert’s magic trumpet an opportunity to shine among the rolling synthesizers and bongo fills. A big after-hours hit for me or for those early evenings where dancers were free to express themselves with their bodies.

I have taken the 12” of “Rotation” and recreated a new techno-hypnotic ReStructure Mix to complete the circle here. It adds more percussion and a funk-beat to guide the number to its destination.
