Brainstorm is Belita Woods, Charles Overton, Deon Estus, Gerald Kent, Jeryl Bright, Lamont Johnson, Larry Sims, Renell Gonsalves, Robert Ross, Trenita Womack, andWilliam L. Wooten, III - a 70s funk/disco band who brought to the disco round a classic titled "Lovin' Is Really My Game" in 1977 - a classic with the lead vocal by Benita Woods!
"Hot For You" is from their 1979 album "Funky Entertainment" and pulls another big punch with a fast paced funky disco piece. It is one of my favorite high energy disco numbers of that year.
I have taken the original 12" extended mix by Mr. Rick Gianatos and ReStructured the song to pull a few more punches, add a familiar classic disco riff and give Benita another chance to make your feet and hips work!
Dedicated to the wonderful memory of Ms. Benita Woods who passed this year - her energy is still here - feel it!
