REISSUE: “My Obsession” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Meri D. Marshall Meri D. Marshall is vocalist who joined the synth-pop dance scene in the mid-80’s with her track “My Obsession” – produced by Bob Parr. This single is one of the dance palace greats with a nice chorus riff and some nice vocal work from Meri in a desperate story of her underground fantasies. This one follows closely with the 80’s high energy scene and plays out well with Parr’s electronic production and play with beats and drums. I have taken the 12” vocal and instrumental into a new ReStructure Mix and rewired the excitement here for a lengthier and deeper look at this “obsession”. More of the vocal chorus is added and more percussion added to spice up the night here.
