ReStructure Mix Update (6/18/20) “Just Gotta Tell Her” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Hot & Cold

Hot & Cold is an Italian disco project from Gianfranco Bortolotti and Pieradis Rossini from the mid-80’s and following in the footsteps of session groups like Fun Fun. Their outline is similar in a synth-pop direction and common sweetness shared. “Just Gotta Tell Her” is their single from 1987 which sweeps high and low with a bombarding edge of percussion and synthetic orchestral movements. The feel of this one is a memorable and melodic journey which made it a favorite among those Italo-disco followers. The studio ensemble consists of Angela Parisi, Antonella Pepe and Ivana Spagna in the chorus giving Italian disco music another charge of energy and sweetness.

I have taken the 12” vocal and instrumental versions of “Just Gotta Tell Her” and revamped the swirling love song in this ReStructure Mix. The heavy drums and percussion are used again for the base line energy and some edits and loops work to bring in a new segment of fade.
