REISSUE:"Space Invaders" by Playback - Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera "Space Invaders" by Playback was released in 1979 on Ariola Records originally then remixed and released on WEA Records in Germany listed as Player(1) as the band. I have credited this video project to Playback as listed on the original 12". In 1977 a film titled "Starship Invasions" was released as an addition to the post-Star Wars craze. This film was a Canadian production, which used many cheap special effects as well as a thin plot. But the idealism behind the film and the acting was top form for B-films.
