ReStructure Mix Update (8/11/21) “Disco Darling” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Top Secret
Top Secret is disco project from Canadian producers, George Lagios and Pat Deserio – both responsible for Bombers and Bob-A-Rela. This 1979 project is an electronic dance layout with the sensual vocals lending to the hypnotic beat of each track. One of the more popular tracks is a cover of the 1975 Walker’s song, “Dance On (Disco Darling)” which plays out as another “Dancing Queen” with the identity similar and the spotlight ion the same direction. This version from Top Secret is close to perfection as the female vocal winds in and out of the track with just the right amount of sex appeal and excitement. It is one of those sexy disco pieces that outlines the disco era in its space.
I have taken the album version of “Disco Darling” and recreated a new device for this ReStructure Mix. A new rhythm and clap track are used to bring the song into a more ecstatic arena and the ooh’s and ahh’s are once again used in new ways.
