ReStructure Mix Update (3/31/23): “Bring On The Love” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Gloria Jones

Gloria Jones is a soul-vocalist who is best known for her 1964 recording of “Tainted Love” which was later recorded by Soft Cell. Her 1978 project titled “Windstorm” – produced by Richard Jones contained her single “Bring On The Love”. This beautiful piece was released as a 12” disco single and made playlists for clubs utilizing the softer edge of dance/disco music. The theme of this number reunites estranged lovers who are ready to start over again – this time, as friends. It is quite an emotional track and Gloria creates a lovely narrative for the message.

I have taken the 12” vocal and instrumental of “Bring On The Love” and realigned the arrangement for this ReStructure Mix. A longer intro with new beats and percussion guide us into the love and also a few breaks where a breath is needed.
