"Just Another Broken Heart" is a 1982 dance classic by Dorothy Moore ("Misty Blue") - the track was produced by Bob Montgomery (Johnny Rivers, Jim Hurt). It is a well known underground track among disc jockeys and hard core audiophiles. It not only is a successfully dramatic performance by Ms. Moore, but it also has one of the most incredible arrangements.

"The Bodyguard" is a 1992 thriller starring Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner - a film passed with past possible stars such as Diana Ross, Ryan O'Neil and even Madonna as the lead. Luckily, we have Whitney taking the stage and leaving behind a trail of tears which I take advantage of in this Disco Video Mix.

The 1978 track by La Bionda is a sweepingly beautiful track - "Sandstorm".The production for the LP titled "La Bionda" is a wicked one - engineered and mixed by Harry Thumann ("Underwater") and features some wonderful percussion and Middle Eastern strings.

I have placed the 1999 film, "The Mummy" starring Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz below the pulsing beats of "Sandstorm" - although there is not much a sandstorm occurring, the actions follows well with the energy of this Disco Video Mix.

This video dedicated to Armin P. - thanks for always being very supportive.

"Do Ya Wanna Get Funky With Me" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Peter Brown

• "Do Ya Wanna Get Funky With Me" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Peter Brown

Peter Brown was one of the earliest innovators of dance music - in 1977 he created for Henry Stone's label Drive Records a project titled "Do Ya Wanna Get Funky With Me' which brought dance floors to their feet.

"Dance With Me" and "You Should Do It" were only the start on this disco sensation - "Do Ya Wanna Get Funky With Me" is an old school classic and still remains one of the most unique dance tracks ever!

My ReStructure revisits the song with a new back beat and several loops and drag out moments that are guaranteed to make you remember...or never forget.

The 1962 classic "Whatever Happened To Baby Jane" gets the Disco Video Mix treatment - the film stars Bette Davis, Joan Crawford and Victor Buono. This time around, Jane is tired of being a slave to that "bell" and she lets us know her her heartbreak and limits on how long she will let her man go.

Pearly Gate's high energy classic from 1989 - a cover of "One Less Bell To Answer" is our theme. This track was produced by Ian Levine and Steven Wagner.

"Let Your Body Shine" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Munich Machine

• "Let Your Body Shine" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Munich Machine

Giorgio Moroder assembled Munich Machine in 1977 as a group of musicians that would accompany many of the vocalists and projects he was producing - with the success of the first 2 LPs "Get On The Funk Train" and "A Whiter Shade Of Pale" there was a bit more to explore.

The third LP released in 1979 was another Moroder production and featured several tracks in a more disco-acoustic style. "Let Your Body Shine" is the main cut from the LP titled, "Body Shine". This track fared well - yet at the end of the disco era never reached it full potential.

My ReStructure Mix pulls the track into an mild electro sound with added techno effects and an extended arrangement.

"Magic Love" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Michele

• "Magic Love" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Michele

Michele is a 1977 disco artist from France - her LP "Magic Love" is a funky experience of the dance floor. Produced by Pierre Jaubert and Tom Moulton - this project has some of the grooviest tracks.

The title track "Magic Love" is ReStructured here with more of its bass lines and lead guitars staying in place - along with the backing vocals of The Sweethearts Of Sigma.

This re-edit is more of an opportunity to feel a sound in disco that helped to define a movement in the genre itself.

"Life Is The Reason" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Norma Lewis

• "Life Is The Reason" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Norma Lewis

Norma Lewis began as Marsha Raven ("I Like Plastic", "Catch Me (I'm Falling In Love") and Charade ("Got To Get To You") then later began a continuous list of high energy classics in the 80's - including "I'm Into Your Love (Into Your Love)", "Maybe This Time", "For All We Know", "The Fight (For The Single Family)", "Surprise Me Tonight", "Victim Of Love" and recently a cover of "Someone That I Used To Love".

Quite an 80's diva!

This ReStructure of "Life Is The Reason" extends the pumping keyboards and thumping percussion and gives Norma's message a meaning that exceeds the dance floor. I have always felt the power of the chorus in the song and wish the same to all of those who look at life as sole purpose of our individuality. It is the beauty of the world and should never be suppressed. Love life!

"Gambling On Your Love" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Jessica Williams

• "Gambling On Your Love" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Jessica Williams

Jessica Williams is the powerhouse diva of discotheques. Her affiliation to the success of disco music has been proved time and time again with her vocals added. With groups such as Arpeggio ("Love and Desire"), Romance ("Dance My Way Into Your Heart"), The Simon Orchestra ("Mr Big Shot") and French Kiss ("We're The Right Combination"). Under the production of Simon Soussan, Jessica is to disco music what The Supremes were to the Motown era - dedication and a sound that is unique.

"Gambling On Your Love" is a track from the 1979 LP "Queen Of Fools" - a 4 track project which motivated dance floors to feel the completeness of the production. With a double force of percussion, drums and bass that played an inspiration to the UK high energy sound of the 80's.

This ReStructure Mix is dedicated to Jessica and her husband, John Williams - two of the talented individuals in the music scene.

"I'm Free" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Celi Bee

• "I'm Free" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Celi Bee

Celi Bee best known for her disco hits "Superman", "Macho (A Real, Real One)" and "Fly Me On The Wings On Love" her formula was sweet and always enticing. In the early 80's Celi Bee returned with "I'm Free" produced by Ray Martinez(Amant, Passion). The track was originally featured on a Ray Martinez and Friends 12" EP called "Lady Of The Night" and was produced with a complete electronic feel.

This track was quite popular at a time where allot of high energy in the US was scarce. Along with Martinez's wonderful rippling synthesizers and Celi's tender vocal the song made quite a statement for disco music.

This ReStructure gives the track a few more breakdowns a an alternative arrangement.

"Pump It Up" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Fever

• "Pump It Up" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Fever

One of the big surprises in 1979 was the release of Fever - produced by Dale Reed along with Marty Blechman (Megatone Records) and John Hedges. This production had pieces of everything happening on the dance floors and more.

Patrick Cowley supplied the classic synthesizers along with Tip Wirrick on guitars - this ensemble of the "know how of disco music" was evident and had the immediate support of DJs like, Bobby Vitteritti, Steve Fabus, Michael Garrett and many of the big dues from B.A.D.D.A. (Bay Area Disco DJ Association).

With the release of the segued 2 sided power tracks this is now a disco gem still "pumping" along!

My ReStructure Mix of "Pumsp It Up" extends those fabulous vocals by the one time ensemble of Clydene Jackson, Julian Tillman Waters and Maxine Willard Waters.

Dedicated to the man himself, Mr. John Hedges - thanks for making the dance floor dependant on your work!
