Annabella is Annabella Lwin - and also the lead vocalist in the 80s band Bow-Wow-Wow (“I Want Candy”). Her solo career began in 1986 with the release of her project titled “Fever” - produced by John Robe, The System, Jim Lee, Greg Walsh, and Zeus B. Held. “War Boys” is the first single release from the album and is a mixture of street beat and alternative rock. The story here are the fallen boys who never make it to love in their attempts and even though failure comes they continue to fight for it. Annabella uses a child-like voice to relay this lesson and also moves closely to the electronic and alternative mix. Lots of sound symbolism passes through every once in a bit along with John Robe’s heavy bass sequencers which bring back reminiscent of Shannon.
I have taken the 12” vocal, dub and instrumental of “War Boys” to give salute to those fallen soldiers in this ReStructure Mix. I have worked to create a more fluent arrangement with a few new layered effects.
