Stargard were the "funky diva's from outer space. Long before En Vogue, TLC or Destiny's Child there was the real funk!
These ladies brought us "Which Way Is Up" - it was the theme from the 1977 Richard Pryor comedy by the same name. Under the production of Mark Davis this track took over dance floors and gave us a true groove. Just take a listen. You make the essence of Norman Whitfield here - with echos of "Car Wash" soundtrack.
I have take "Which Way Is Up" and added some rhythm and clap-favors to enhance it's funkiness. It is one of my all-time favorite funk track.
