"Manhattan Skyline" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - David ShireDavid Lee Shire has composed soundtracks for films "2010", "The Taking of Pelham One Two Three", "Norma Rae", "Short Circuit" - his compositions for the soundtrack of "Saturday Night Fever' from 1977 are the focus here.
"Manhattan Skyline" is a track that is pure disco in completeness - from the rolling basslines and swirling strings. A track that surely influenced touch dancers to dip and swing even further.
I have taken Shire's beautiful piece and added a few elements to give the track a whole new ReStructure sound. This one should remind many of the orchestrations which gave disco the contemporary edge of the mid 70's.
