Peter Batah is a Canadian disco artist whom
released 2 big club hits during the early 80s transition from
disco-to-high energy. "Rock Me Now" is his single from 1980 which
created a craving for high-disco tracks all-over again in the early
80s. The track was produced by Claude Allard who also produced Black
Star and Miki Hope - and also worked on tracks for Lime, France Joli,
Freddie James, Suzy Q and U.N.. Some notes suggest this may even be
Denis LePage under an alias.
I have taken the original Canadian 12" - using the vocal and instrumental creating a ReStructure Mix for "Rock Me Now" using more of the electronic features of the mix for a longer intro and more fantastic drop breaks in between. It is one of those rock-pop disco numbers similar to what Paul Sabu was releasing as Sabu.
