• "Holiday" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Moulin Rouge
Michael Zager produced, arranged and conducted music for dance floors which bring to mind a celebration. And which track rings true to this? "Holiday" by Moulin Rouge.
Released in 1979 on ABC Records this project consisted of covers of Bee Gees classic ballads set to the trendy disco beat of the time - complete with a full orchestra ala Zager. The album cover images are creative in several way - by emulating the hit Bee Gees LP "Spirits Having Flown" with 3 hot models who eventually break out into the Moulin Rouge fever.
The vocal ensemble on this session consisted of Alvin Fields, Stephanie Spruill, Julia Tillman and Lorna M. Willard.
I have ReStructured "Holiday" with the fabulous horn and string arranagements in mind and given the song a few more breakdown points.
