• "You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Sylvester1978 was the year that Sylvester’s “Step II” paved a path for disco success. His first LP released in 1977 was a production with a garage-like feel where his tracks “Dance (Disco Heat)” and “You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)” were enhanced with his innovative fusion of synthesizers and keyboards.
These tracks had the energy and feel that discotheques were clamoring for to open the door to the many who needed more definition.
“You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)” is an incredible production that uses a gospel approach to give the song a frenetic and celebratory edge. I have taken parts of the original 12” single mix and chopped the rhythm and synthesizers to regroup the song. It was my intent to give the song a whole new purpose.
Dedicated to the artist and personality of “The Fabulous” Sylvester.
