Not only are the lyrics the most emotional and thought provoking - they are timeless. For anyone who has ever been hopelessly in love this one is a powerhouse!
A favorite of mine since it first echoed through a discotheque at the age of 16, this one holds allot for heart for me. Bettye LaVette has been recording since 1962 and her return for the disco era is an event.
Produced by Cory Robbins and Eric Matthew who were also responsible for bringing Sharon Redd alive in Front Page's "Love Insurance" in 1979. Matthew as well with his productions and band, Gary's Gang have always been praised for his excellence.
This ReStructure utilizes the original Mark Sameth 12" mix and works a new percussion track weaving it with a whole new arrangement - respect and long lasting honor for the Walter Gibbons remix also (which is not used here).
For Cory Robbins, Eric Matthew and Ms. LaVette - who have created a classic for all to hold close to heart.
