"Copacabana (At The Copa)" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Barry ManilowBarry Manilow was apart of the disco generation with the uplifting and rhythmic song, "Copacabana (At The Copa)" from his 1978 LP "Even Now" - the track emphasized the celebratory feeling that disco music was all about. With touches of rumba and hustle dance steps injected.
The song has been included as the pop-disco classics of the 70's and I always felt was waiting for an alternative mix on the original recording. This ReStructure Mix is playful and digs deep into not only the story but some of the wonderful percussive tracks.
Dedicated to the memory of Tony Davila - a dancer here in San Diego who always made this song come alive.
