“Can The Rhythm” by Girl Talk – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera
Girl Talk is a production from Stock, Aitken and Waterman (Dead or Alive, Kylie Minogue, Rick Astley) from 1984 – it features Karen Wright and Julie Wright. Their high energy track “Can The Rhythm” was a quite a mover in clubs for the time – and also gave dance floors an opportunity to celebrate to that “girl twirl” sound.
I have created a Disco Video Mix using the 1985 dance/comedy “Girls Just Want To Have Fun” starring Sarah Jessica Parker (“Sex In The City”) Helen Hunt and Lee Montgomery – the 80s dance romp is synched from the teen romance frames to the big dance finale. Intended to keep the rhythm and the 80s alive!
The film was directed by Alan Metter
