Gloria Gaynor is the voice which brought disco
music to a frantic celebration. Her first LP "Never Say Goodbye"
produced by Jay Ellis, Meco Monardo and Tony Bongiovi seemed to
capture a sound which discotheques where searching for. Along with
the help of Tom Mouton and the disco mix the rest was made by dancers
and history.
"How How The Moon" is a cover of the Benny Goodman & His Orchestra recording done with disco flare and excitement. Complete with vocals by the queen of dance! This is truly a blockbuster moment!
I have taken the album version which holds true to the first Gaynor album in the antidote for disco's sheer way of symphony and funky grooves. A new ReStructure Mix gives the bass line a front and of course the swooning strings a chance to tell their story.
Nick and Lindsay - Once again, for you both. Thank you for requesting the hidden giants and helping me to keep the sound of disco in it's great shell alive!
