Ray Dahrouge is a singer, producer, writer and arranger who has worked on many projects in the recording industry since the late 60s. His 1976 production of Street People and his genius of blending a Philly sound along with the sound of the growing disco trends is one of his talents I have been moved by.
"Rendezvous With Destiny" is 1979 album with the hit "I Can See Him Makin' Love To You, Baby" which helped the big year of disco sound complete. The track is a catchy post-love song with the pain and regrets. The emotion that flow along with the dramatic strings and funky guitars pulls it all together in the production. Disco producer John Davis assists here on the arranging and conducting along with Billy Terrell co-producing.
I have taken the 12" version of "I Can See Him Making Love To You, Baby" and rerouted the mix with the emphasis on those infectious wah-wah guitars to give this new ReStructure Mix a new feeling.
This ReStructure Mix is dedicated to the man himself, Mr. Ray Dahrouge who has given a new shade of sound to disco music with his talent and love. Thank you, Ray!
