ReStructure Mix Update (8/22/13): “I’m Leaving To Dance All Over Again” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Lorraine Johnson

Lorraine Johnson us a soul, r&b and disco singer who made a big impact on the Prelude disco label in 1978 with her album “I’m Learning To Dance All Over Again” – it was the New York disco sound which combined the full orchestration and funk edge. Producers Jesse Boyce and Moses Dillard were fresh off of the club success of Constellation Orchestra (“Perfect Love Affair” ) and Saturday Night Band (“Come On, Dance, Dance” ) with the shine of disco energy and innovative arrangements and club remixes which helped to shape disco music as well as make it a household name.

I have taken the title track from Lorraine’s album and have given it a new ReStructure Mix using the theme to enforce another chance to feel that magic which disco music made crowds experience with its uplifting sound and energetic rhythms. This remix pulls more into the instrumental – however Lorraine is still there assuring us it is alright to step onto the dance floor and let it loose.

Dedicated to the men of funk-disco magic – Mr. Jess Boyce and Moses Dillard
