ReStructure Mix Update (8/27/13) “Theme from ‘King Kong’” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Love Unlimited Orchestra

Love Unlimited Orchestra is under the conductor wand of Mr. Barry White – a crucial part of disco’s movement and growth from the early 70s throughout the 80s. The sweet strings and funky guitars were the component for Euro-disco and the start of what Philly disco is all about. The 1979 album “Super Movie Themes – Just A Little Bit Different” is an incredible disco fantasy taking several popular and classic themes and giving them the orchestral disco funk which White has been known for.

I have taken the 12” disco single of “Theme from King Kong” along with a few movements from the original soundtrack by Mr. John Barry – which is one of my all-time favorite film sound tracks (the 1976 film score) and most armored. The new mix adds some of the mystery and excitement of the film along with the sweeping disco elements.

This ReStructure Mix is dedicated to Mr. Paul Conway – a friend throughout the years who shares a loved of motion picture scores and also dance music where the connecting of these two come together in this mix!
