Rofo
is a disco project from producer Fonny De Wulf and Ronny Verrept. The
high energy explosion in the early 80s brought on a deep and pulsating
sound of keyboards and synthesizers pounding out a dance beat. “You Got
To Move It On” is the third single from Rofo and begins a love song with
a dreamy energy. Much of what this studio project set out to represent.
Dance floors came alive with tracks like this and made the transition
from synth-pop to a more definitive club sound.
I
have taken the original 12” version of “You Got To Move It On” and
created a new ReStructure Mix which plays out with loops and re-editing
from the original arrangement. More energy is pulled from the original
elements with a touch of the loop edits that mark more of the excitement
that the 80s electronic edge was so familiar with.
