Key Of Dreams is Italian vocalist Maurizio Vandelli. His cover of Toto’s 1982 song “Africa” which was written by David Paich and Jeff Pocaro. The idea of the song based on the continent itself and the love for its aura. Key Of Dreams takes the song and plays it close to the original where new drums and percussion are added in heavy layered segments. This Italo-disco production is more of a tribute and along with the similar vocals by Maurizio.
I have taken the 12” from Zanza Records to rework a new version for a ReStructure Mix and focused on the drums and the keyboard riffs that build into the chorus. I have used more pieces of the percussion and a few riffs to build this one into a new adventure.
