ReStructure Mix Update (6/16/19) “Love In The Shadows” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – E.G. Daily

E.G. Daily is an actress and singer whose career began as a “valley girl” in a film by the same name. Her dedication to make a career in pop music became realistic in 1985 with the release of her album “Wild Child”. Her vocal gave dance music a strong female edge with the rough feel of her vocals yet on tracks like “Love In The Shadows” there is a calming and sweet resonance. Produced by Munich producer and Giorgio Moroder studio collaborator, Harold Faltermeyer (you can hear his name in Moroder’s “E=Mc2” track) the electronic production is much like the 80’s anthems where a powerful female voice takes us through mystery and heartbreak. This one was a huge dance palace number and always reminded me of the disco edge remaining intact yet emerging as a whole new sound.

I have taken the vocal and dub from the 12” of “Love In The Shadows” and re-casted more of the magic in this ReStructure Mix. As I hear it, once again this ‘anthem’ is more about its beauty and dance floors could never capture the movement of this emotion.
