REISSUE: “Every Breath You Take” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Otis Liggett

REISSUE: “Every Breath You Take” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Otis Liggett
Otis Liggett (Evan Rogers) is the artists responsible for electrifying The Police’s 1983 rock-ballad, “Every Breath You Take” – produced by Tom Coyne. This cover remained one of the powerhouse street dance tracks of the early 80’s with an identity close to the Shannon-sound (“Let The Music Play”) created earlier in the year. This heavy beats version takes the melody into a beatbox environment and plays it out in parts along with Evan Rogers’ wonderful reggae like vocal. This one stands alone as a true to the original with the bells and whistles of the dance floor of the period. I have taken the 12” vocal and dub version to recreate a ReStructure Mix of “Every Breath You Take” and laid it out in a new arrangement. The intro breaks up the chords in a new flow and along the new mix as a mosaic sound project.
