Peter Jacques Band are a piece of disco history that has a beginning and an end. Their first release from 1978 is a project which helped to shape disco music and prepare it for the electronic Fusion coming at the end of the 70s .”Drives Me Crazy” is from their 1985 album title “Dancing In The Streets” produced by Jacques Fred Petrus . The production feels more of a mid-tempo energy but still have the hooks that the Peter Jacques Band has been known for. It was a favorite of mine during its release and a resurgence for the group to keep their name in disco music alive .
I have taken the 12-inch version of “Drives Me Crazy” and re-wired the track to create a whole new sound for the song in this ReStructure Mix . I have used the wobbly keyboards and “boppy” bass rhythm with new edits for this outline.
