ReStructure Mix Update (6/18/23): “Fall Into A Trance” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Jimmy Ross

Jimmy Ross is a singer from Trinidad who became one of the early 80’s exciting Italo-disco artists and their ride from producers Luciano Ninzatti and Stefano Pulga (both are members of Kano) is a display of the full-on electronic dance sound. “Fall Into A Trance” is a love song with a juice that keeps oozing more of the magic which made the early 80’s another time for dance music to mature and grow. The lyrics beg a potential lover to give in and let go of all emotions, heart and soul – therefore “into a trance” of love. The music here is a mainstay of power which made the band Kano a forerunner for its time and lasting through time with the futuristic edge – much as Moroder created in the mid-70’s for disco music.

I have taken the 12” version of “Fall Into A Trance” and modified pieces of the drum tracks and keyboards for this ReStructure Mix. There are more of the drop outs using the vocals and pieces of the drum patterns to make his trance a new one.
