Naked Truth is a disco project from 1976 and produced by Jesse Boyce (Lorraine Johnson, Saturday Night Band, Frisky, Constellation Orchestra) and Sanchez Harley. Released as a 7” single on Sound Stage 7 Records this funky disco piece has a number of moments which set it into a soulful and moving arrangement. Vocals are accredited to Bernita and Chorus - taking the shimmering strings into a higher element with their simplistic approach. This single features Part 1 on side a and a Part 2 version with a lot more of the disco sweeps complete with strings and percussion. A nice piece of homework to find that Mr. Jesse Boyce was soon to become the leader of New York disco in a few years to come along with Moses Dillard on Prelude Records.
I have taken the 7” versions of “You’re The One I Love” and rewired the funky groove and energy for this new ReStructure Mix. A simple percussion track is added along with a few new breakdowns and a cold ending.
