Liza Minelli has proven her natural born talent throughout her career and in 1989 along with Pet Shop Boys she displayed another side of her career in a pop-dance project titled, “Results”. “Losing My Mind” is a single from the album which was originally from a 1971 musical titled “Follies” - written by Stephen Sondheim. It is a song of a confused love that has departed and haunts the heart of the one left behind. Liza and Pet Shop Boys make this a non-stop crescendo of drama and heartbreak as the moody keyboards bring loneliness and sadness with the tinkling of percussion and a disco beat. One of the great covers and dance tracks of 1989 with enough of the talent from both to give it a classic title.
I have taken the 12” versions of “Losing My Mind” and recreated a new energy for this ReStructure Mix. Layering pieces of several of the mixes into a new drama to take us into a new experience again.
