ReStructure Mix Update (12/7/25): ”Spring Rain”  – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Rico

Rico is a production from Nigel Wright - the man who helped make Passion Records the high-energy extravaganza in the early 80’s with groups like Astaire, Angie Gold and Mirage. His cover of Silvetti’s disco classic “Spring Rain” from 1976 is a house/flamenco piece which gives the track a whole new sound and feel. Using the Euro-house bass line along with a Latin guitar accompaniment this arrangement moves like the Italo-disco movement. Released in 1989 and with the dedication to keep classic disco songs alive and upfront he creates a nice departure for this homage to Silvetti’s masterpiece.

I have taken the 12” versions of Rico’s “Spring Rain” and realigned the original to create a new ReStructure Mix. I have used pieces from the original “Spring Rain” by Silvetti to splatter across this disco canvas and extend the fabulous guitar segments in a new way.
