ReStructure Mix Update (3/24/26): ”Make Love To Me” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Helen Reddy

Helen Reddy is an Australian-American singer who began her recording career in 1971. Many of her well-known songs are a part of American culture during the late 60s and early 70s. Helen released a disco project in 1979 titled “Reddy” and featured her single “Make Love To Me” - a cover of Kelly Marie’s number released the prior year. The Reddy production from Frank Day displays a session featuring Eddie Watkins Jr on bass and contains the disco sprinkles acceptable for the time. In this rendition Helen sounds comfortable and able to relay the yearning verses in a credulous manner. The single did quite well for the time as this was the disco heyday where many artists known and new were giving it their shot on a dance floor hit.

I have taken the 12” version of Helen Reddy’s “Make Love To Me” and rewired the piece for a new ReStructure Mix. There are some new percussion riffs added to power up the number and a longer interlude to the lilting chorus.
