Candi Staton began recording in 1970 with her
first album "I'm Just A Prisoner" and her warm and soulful voice lead
her into the disco era which gave her a few classics's including
"Young Hearts Run Free", "Run To Me", :Victim" and "When You Wake Up
Tomorrow".
Her eighth album "Chance" contained her single, "When You Wake Up Tomorrow" - with Patrick Adams co-writing, playing and arranging. The project was produced by Jimmy Simpson and Candi Staton. The classic 12" single mix contains the Simpson magic.
I have taken the 12" version of "When You Wake Up Tomorrow" and have given it the ReStructure Mix treatment to recap this fantastic song for Candi and the last of the disco era mood and nightlife affair theme. I have given the song a lengthier mix with a few new breaks and turns.
Dedicated to Candi Staton and Mr. Patrick Adams!
