Eumir Deodato De Almedida is a talented Brazilian composer, arranger, and musician who began recording in 1964. His work most know to disco-lovers are his productions with Kool & The Gang ("Ladies Night") and his own projects: "Whistle Bump", "Night Cruiser", "Shazam!", etc.
"S.O.S. Fire In The Sky" is a track from Deodato's 1984 album "Motion" - which once again points to his keyboard genius in creating sounds and elements which wind -up the disco energy and funk style of the 80s. His work in this 80s dance track are another movement of his work surviving another generation of dancers and music connoisseurs.
I have taken the 12" "Disarmamix" and have given it a new ReStructure Mix to pump some of the energy the song has always relayed to me - it is quite beautiful when you hear the vocal and understand the message of the needed love for this soul.
