“I’m Mad As Hell” by El Coco – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

“I’m Mad As Hell” by El Coco – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

El Coco is Laurin Rinder and W. Michael Lewis – a duo who during the mid-70s created a sound for disco music that was geared towards the club scene. Their approach was based on the funky and chic sound of where disco was headed. Their 1977 album “Cocomotion” contained a single titled “I’m Mad As Hell” which was inspired by the 1976 film, “Network”

I have paired the two together and added an clip from another Faye Dunaway classic, “Mommie Dearest” (an idea injected by Ken Emmons) and have made these pieces blend into a media message which today seems appropriate and also intriguing.

The film was directed by Sidney Lumet
