ReStructure Mix Update (8/23/18) “Relax” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Frankie Goes To Hollywood

ReStructure Mix Update (8/23/18) “Relax” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Frankie Goes To Hollywood F.G.T.H. is one of the most unforgettable sounds and bands of the 80s. Produced by Trevor Horn (Chrome, Buggles, ABC, Malcolm McLaren, Yes, Propaganda) who took the bank onto his new label, ZZT Records along with Paul Morley. “Relax” comes from their 1984 album “Welcome To The Pleasuredome” – it is perhaps one of the kindest fusions of rock and dance synth-pop of the time. A big move as bands like Dead or Alive were participating in. The single “Relax” is and has been highly controversial due to the lyric and suggestive theme – yet the music still powers over all and art is the finale decision here. A huge dance floor hit and the start for this great 80s band that also sparked the careers of Holly Johnson and Paul Rutherford. I have taken the 12” long, radio and instrumental to recreate a new ReStructure Mix which takes off where the fantasy leads the feet and mind. A lot more of the bump and grind bass which reminds many of the big high energy hit “High Energy” by Evelyn Thomas – yet each presents itself in a unique way.
