REISSUE:  “Hot Love In Spain/Porompompero” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Crystal Grass

Crystal Grass is a French disco group created by Lee Hallyday. Their 1974 self-titled album contains their classic “Crystal World” which displays a mysterious side to disco music as it emerged from soul. Their second album, “Dance Up A Storm” features singer Leroy Gomez (Santa Esmeralda) on saxophones. “The Love Train” from 1978 displays the theme which European disco used music from the past and themes segued into a medley. Most of DJs the clubs allowed for long play. Kristi Barton is the guest vocalist on this project and takes us around the world with standards and a few pop disco covers with a Cerrone-like chorus alongside. Much like the Voyage concept from Roger Tokarz. Our stop in Spain features “Hot Love In Spain/Porompompero” which features some great Spanish guitar work and authentic vocal serenading our diva as she passes through. A nice full orchestrated disco number that is by all means sophisticated as most emerging French disco was.

I have taken the album version of “Hot Love In Spain/Porompompero and recreated a new ReStructure Mix. I have added an intro to bring in the transition of this mood and also lots of claps and new beats to pound out that “hot love”.

REISSUE: “Baila Bolero” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Fun Fun

REISSUE: “Baila Bolero” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Fun Fun

Fun Fun is an Italo-disco group from the early 80s which brought back the “happy” and celebratory feel to the new sound called “high energy”. This was quite a time for disco lovers and those who loved to get lost in a good space on dance floors. Many of their early tracks featured vocals by Spagna, Antonella Pepe and Angela Parisi – the chorus of beautiful sweeping innuendos. “Baila Bolero” was from their 1987 project “Double Fun” and carried on their sound of rolling synthesizers and uplifting melodies. One of my all-time favorites of Fun Fun’s and also of the period.

I have taken the 12” “Bolero Dance Mix” and “House Mix” onto the ReStructure Mix formula to pump this piece even more and create some new surprises. More of those Spanish guitars and riffs are featured here.

Dedicated to those wonderfully filled people who continue to keep the “uplifting” sound of disco music alive in a time where it is needed and perfect.

REISSUE: "You Gotta Dance" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Pacific Blue

REISSUE: "You Gotta Dance" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Pacific Blue

Pacific Blue is a disco project from producers Michaele, Lana Sebastian and Paul Sebastian – the three responsible for albums by Madleen Kane, Theo Vaness, Claire and Leonore O’ Malley. This 1978 disco track is the flip side to the 12” “Argentina Forever” which contains a slight Euro-disco feel as their prior work with flamenco feel. Vocals emulate a Bee Gee’s feel and echo throughout this number. It has always been a favorite of mine and was fun to program during playful sets.

I have taken the 12” version of “You Gotta Dance” to rework an arrangement and loop-set for the killer bass trickle and the Spanish flavor. It is a bit more airy with a few new breaks as well as a cold ending which breaks down right where it started.

REISSUE: “Gypsy Woman” by Leroy Gomez – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

REISSUE: “Gypsy Woman” by Leroy Gomez – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

Leroy Gomez has taken dance floors in the 70s and created a male counterpart to the “disco diva”. His classic performance on Santa Esmeralda’s “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood” is one of the most memorable of the period. “Gypsy Woman” is from his album by the same name from 1978 – a remake of The Impressions single from 1961 – and this disco version produced by Simon Soussan. A great disco take on the track and as dramatic as this Disco Video Mix.

I have taken scenes from the 1918 silent film “Gypsy Blood” which outlines a Carmen-like temptress. It is a British film and has much controversy built around the production and story itself. It is used here only as an outline for the romantic edge.

The film was directed by Leo Maguire

REISSUE: "The House of The Rising Sun" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Santa Esmeralda

Santa Esmeralda is Jean-Manuel de Scarano, Jimmy Goings, Leroy Gomez and Nicolas Skorsky - a disco band created in 1977. Their first album, "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" (a cover of Nina Simone's 1964 classic) was an instant disco classic. The rich and full production from Jean-Manuel de Scarano and Nicolas Skorsky (The Monstars, Crystal Grass) are some of the most impressive form the late 70s disco era.

I have taken the full 15 minute album version and created and new ReStructure Mix using the parts which always brought the song to mind for me. It is a new episode for the disco version and in hopes to keep it's magic alive!

ReStructure Mix Update (6/29/19) “Rock It!” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Herbie Hancock

ReStructure Mix Update (6/29/19) “Rock It!” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Herbie Hancock

Herbie Hancock is one of the artists who created and composed one of the most important song overlooked from the 80’s. “Rock It” is a disco break in a street-razor-electro hype with some of Hancock’s many influences with his music. This track was a big innovation and marked every piece of New York Street and early scratching scene of the turntables into an anthem that plays out like a new discovery in human emotion. Along with a video work to express this movement in another new way the Hancock playout is magic. If you are not and were not fond of the street dub sound at least listen to what the music is saying in parts. It was an innovative time for dance music.

I have taken the 12” version of “Rock It” and worked a more mystic ReStructure Mix to piece Hancock’s jam sections into a new mover. A play on the title is assisted by Lipps Inc. and more of that rolling bass is used till the bass screams.

Passengers are Chuck Rolando, Elwanda Contreras, Kim Arena and Mary Shay Collen – a high energy disco troupe whose music is remembered as uplifting and somewhat like a Las Vegas review. Their first album titled “Passengers” was produced by Celso Valli (Lama, Tantra, and Azoto) who brought the group to heights of dance floors magic with tracks like “Hot Leather”, “Girls Cost Money”, and “I’ll Be Standing Beside You”.

I have taken the album version of “I’ll Be Standing Beside You” and have given the love-friendship-anthem another lift into the clouds and a ReStructure Mix – pulling more of the glowing climax of the chorus to excitement. It was a song I played out during its release to a packed dance floor of almost embracing friends and dancers! A real anthem.

Dedicated to Passengers an also Mr. Celso Valli!

REISSUE: "Capitol Tropical" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Two Man Sound

REISSUE: "Capitol Tropical" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Two Man Sound

Two Man Sound is a Belgium Latin disco band - Lou Deprijck, Sylvain Vanholme and Yves Lacomblez

Their 1982 disco hit, "Capitol Tropical" was a high energy tour though a Latin Salsa. It is one of the most memorable underground club hits of the time. Re-released in the US on TSR Records - it became a huge hit in clubs.

All of the right ingredients are here for this dance piece - percussion, Spanish guitars, and catchy lyrics and vocals.

I have taken this track and broke it into pieces and added some new drums pounding out, percussion loops and a few surprises. This one was always a floor packer for me - so it is my tribute to it's wonderful energy!

REISSUE: “Everybody Is Dancing” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Ken Laslo

REISSUE:  “Everybody Is Dancing” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Ken Laslo

Ken Laslo is one of the Italo-disco artists who made the 80’s mysterious and exciting. His first single “Hey Hey Guy” from 1984 was one of the tracks that helped to recreate a flowing energy on dance floors and more points in the Italo-disco music arena. “Everybody Is Dancing” is his 1989 single that was one of my all-time favorites from that year. An uplifting and energetic piece that roars quietly but effectively. Another big dance floor generator for me and a reason to place Ken Laslo once again in the realm of the true Italo-disco sound.

I have taken the vocal and instrumental from the 12” of “Everybody Is Dancing” and used the recognizable riffs and hooks to make this ReStructure Mix pull some new tricks to the surface. The uplifting keyboards are extended and played into a new arrangement.

REISSUE: “Native Love" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Divine

REISSUE: “Native Love" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Divine

Divine (Harris Glenn Milstead) is unmistakable in any sense. He began as a drag performer in cult classic films by John Waters - even more perfect is his role in disco/high energy music in the early-80s. Teamed with producers Danny Weiss and Bobby Orlando a camp-driven hardcore synthesized dance edge was created.

"Native Love" is from Divine's album "My First Album" from 1982 - an array of simple and fun dance tracks. It has become a classic among club goers and now work that identifies this drag-diva's style all together.

I have taken the 12" version and mixed and looped parts for a whole new experience. I have also added surprise vocals from Divine's early cult films "Pink Flamingos" to work the mood slowly, but surely.

REISSUE: "Rofo's Theme" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Rofo

REISSUE: "Rofo's Theme" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Rofo

Rofo is Ronny Verrept and Fonny De Wolf (Charity, Samantha Gilles, Michael Bow, Bianca). The first single from Rofo from 1983 "Flashlight On A Disco Night" egnited a new high energy sound in electronic music - followed by "I Want You" and "You Got To Move It On". A blend of rolling synthesizers and male/lounge-like vocals.

"Rofo's Theme" is an instrumental track from 1987 which brought dance floors to their feet with it's fast furious keyboards and rolling-rolling bass sequencers. This on has always reminded me of "a day at the horse races" - it has that much energy!

I have ReStructured the original 12" remix version and created an extended flowing intro and then had some fun chopping and re arranging much of the keyboard bridges and segues.

ReStructure Mix Update (6/28/19) “High On Tech” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Roboterwerke

ReStructure Mix Update (6/28/19) “High On Tech” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Roboterwerke

Roboterwerke is a German electronic/synth-pop project from the early 80’s and members included Dieter Kolb and Franz Aumuller. Their sound followed the tracks of Kraftwerk with more of an energy luster to this edge of computer-sized musique. The somewhat comedic approach to covers is somewhat lovely and hilarious at the same time with their electric powered “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” A bit like Max Hedroom syndrum. Their 1981 single “High On Tech” is one of the jittery energy pieces I enjoyed fitting into a program as such and felt the vibe the band was portraying. It is a glam-rock-electronic pulsating anthem and a bit pulse of what these guys were doing.

I have taken the original 12” version of “High On Tech” and reworked the bass synths and arrangement to a simpler ReStructure Mix. This adds a few new riffs to give it some undercurrent and brings the rolling intro back as a fading close.

REISSUE:  “Jungle Fever” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Chakachas

Chakachas is a Latin soul ensemble lead by Gaston Bogaert and Tito Madinez. Their 1970 track “Jungle Fever” is one of the well-known Afro-funk pieces which have lead into an underground disco and a fusion of tribal-like rhythm arena. It is quite sensual and erotic as the female moans and breaths keep moving with the pace of the haunting bongo riffs. It is an early take off with a lounge-esque feel of experimental dance music.

I have taken the album version of “Jungle Fever” and have taken the track into a ReStructure Mix with new focus on the underground feel. Adding a new beat piece from Opium Monks and a classic by Instant Funk this new journey is more of a dub outline for the Chakachas classic.

REISSUE: "Goddess Of Love” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Phyllis Hyman

REISSUE:  "Goddess Of Love” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Phyllis Hyman

Phyllis Hyman is one of the promising voices of soul, disco, jazz and r&b during the mid-70s onto the 90s. Her vocal is recognizable unlike many today where the emotion is immediate and deeply moving. This style brought her success not only in the disco years of her career, but also the jazz and r&b movement with her years of the great Philadelphia International label along with producers Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff. “Goddess Of Love” is a project from 1983 and is produced by Narada Michael Walden – who was turning many vocalists into dance floor sensations during the early 80s including Aretha Franklin, Sister Sledge and Stacy Latttisaw. The title track follows the theme of Phyllis taking her enchantment into a mythical jungle chanteuse – The Goddess of Love. The song works with her strong vocal play and the help of Narada’s creative production abilities. It is one that I would love to break in with an early evening set and always proved to start the dance floor moving to a new rhythm.

I have taken the album version of “Goddess Of Love” and edited and reworked a whole new adventure with several acts and breakdowns. It was early to leave Phyllis’ fabulous vocal intact and add a few new elements to give this tribal feel beat a new reason to hail this great lady of song. A percussion riff from a high energy track by the same name (not the same song) is added for the mystique of those who are familiar and are ready to move to the next level.

This beautiful medley from the "Jungle DJ and Dirty Kate" LP on Polydor is one of Cerrone's many Euro-Disco projects which helped to bring the sound of a full orchestra together with an ensemble of soulful and disco-fied vocals. A great sound for the a pair of headphones!

REISSUE: "Jungle Drums" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Wild Fantasy

REISSUE: "Jungle Drums" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Wild Fantasy

Wild Fantasy is a studio concept band produced by Tony Hiller - the theme is a sensual drum fantasy with a touch of disco power. The big cuts from the LP are "Jungle Drums" and "Africa".

I have taken the cut "Jungle Drums" and have given it a ReStructure Mix make-over adding a surprise cameo appearance from the fabulous Abbe Lane - ringing in a tribal standard!

REISSUE: "Primitive World" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Patrick Cowley

REISSUE: "Primitive World" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Patrick Cowley

Patrick Cowley breathed new life into synthesizers and electronic music as Giorgio Moroder created in the early and mid-70s during his work in the late 70s. Cowley's work with Brenda Mitchell's "Body Party" in 1978 and Michelle's "Disco Dance" in 1977 were only segues his classic remix of Donna Summer's "I Feel Love" in 1979. His touch labeled as "Mega" was accentuated in his own track "Megatron Man" in 1981.

From his 1982 album (and finale) "Mind Warp" comes the segment "Primitive World" - which is a play of Cowley's electronic effects and sequenced drums. Into a tribal-like fusion of chants and rhythm.

I have taken the album version and clipped and looped the track into a whole new adventure - with Raquel Welch in that loin cloth in mind. A new ReStructure Mix is to salute Mr. Cowley and his short-lived but highly "worshiped" and adored work.

Jessica Williams became one of the dance floors prized divas during the late 70s. Her vocals appeared in several big dance projects including Arpeggio and Romance as well as many studio sessions for Motown and soul artists. “Queen Of Fools” is her 1979 album with a fantastic four tracks that made disco music what it is – produced by Simon Sousson.

I have taken her cover of “Save The Last Dance For Me” the 1960 hit recorded by Ben E. King and The Drifters and blended it into this Disco Video Mix along with the 1956 musical “The King and I” starring Deborah Kerr and Yul Brynner. Reprogrammed here to represent the endless energy of music and the power of it in the disco form. Lots of spinning and smiles.

Change was a welcome sound in disco music in 1979. A production by Jacques Fred Petrus and arrangements by Mauro Malavasi – this was the gem of the dance floor. “It’s A Girls Affair” is a track from the project which features Jocelyn Brown on lead vocal. A fabulous theme for “girl’s night out” with the sassy sophistication of a pulsating electronic arrangement.

I have taken scenes from the 2011 romantic comedy “Bridesmaids” starring Kristen Wiig, Mata Rudolph and Melissa McCarthy to fill in the lines from this anthem-like disco tune. The comic edge from the film gives a lighter side to these ladies need to get on down.

Donna Summer earned her titled as The First Lady of Love with her sensual disco tracks from the mid-70s. Along with Giorgio Moroder, Pete Bellotte and Munich Machine many of her classic pieces were brought to life. “Spring Affair” is the first cut on her “Four Seasons of Love” project from 1976 and one of my favorites. A wonderful blend of love set in the changing of the annual seasons. I have taken the piece into this mild-romantic Disco Video Mix.

Scenes for this venture are provided from the 1955 comedy-drama “Picnic” starring William Holden and Kim Novak. The Cinemascope film provides some of the yearning of love between William and Kim along with Donna soft panther-like vocal approach.

Metropole is an Italian disco project with Al Festa, Claudio Giusti and Francesco Puccioni. Their single “Miss Manhattan” from 1981 is one of the memorable pieces of that year from the Italian disco market. A cross of jazz and a disco arrangement along with the focus on Manhattan – the New York City borough reveals a beautiful and economic edge of the county.

I have taken the 2002 romantic comedy “Maid In Manhattan” starring Jennifer Lopez and Ralph Fiennes and placed the romantic scenes among this disco piece. It brings a new energy to dance song and also outlines the film with a new excitement to this Cinderella-like theme.

REISSUE: “Showdown” by Arpeggio – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

Arpeggio is Jessica Williams, Fred Sawyers, Jerry Scott and Jason Reed. A disco ensemble from Simon Soussan (Shalamar, French Kiss, The Simon Orchestra and Charisma). The sound of pure disco reaches it most fulfilling with all of the bells and whistles (literally) which made dance floors feel at home. “Showdown” is a track from the second Arpeggio album titled “Breakout” from 1980. A nice high energy disco number with the soulful ensemble bringing the disco beat a sweet note. One of my favorites of the period and so infectious it still moves quite well.

I have taken scenes from the 1968 Italian/American Western epic, “Once Upon A Time In The West” to create a “showdown” in a new way. The stance here is for Claudia Cardinale whose beauty is worth the duel. It plays out a fantasy for the disco number which I love to create.

This Disco Video Mix is dedicated to the lovely Jessica Williams of Arpeggio in thanks for her friendship, kindness and the talent which continues to bring happiness to many.

Village People released their fifth album in 1979 and appropriately featured a sendoff of the fabulous 70s into the adventurous and new 80s. Music would change but the need to dance did not cease. The album titled, “Live and Sleazy” featured three sides from a live concert and four new songs. “Ready For The 80s” I decided to use homage to the new crop of images, music and talent of the 80s – I may have left a few out – but this is the blend in the kaleidoscope of art.

The medley is dedicated to all of you – for without your dedication and love for dance music the mirror ball would have stopped a long time ago. Keep that uplifting feeling alive!

REISSUE: “Music Colours” (Part 3) by Cellophane – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

Cellophane is an Italian disco project from Alessandro Novaga and Giorgio Pagnanni. Their single “Music Colours” is an electronic masterpiece of artistic and innovative dance music. The 12” consists of 3 parts to the track where “Part 1” is a melodic salute to a new fusion – Music Colours where the sounds in “Part 3” emulate water colors brushing and stroking a canvas with a rolling piano part and segments of striking keys and drum rolls breaking down the energy. It is one of my favorite of 1984 and a unique sound that always reminded me of the Boris Midney nuance of the late 70s.

I have taken the 1984 drama “Amadeus” – starring F. Murray Abraham and Tom Hulce in the period piece in which composer Antonio Salleri discovers the music genius of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart during the 18th century. The orchestral feel of the disco piece uses parts and images of the film to create a new canvas for the disco overture.

Eastbound Expressway is a disco ensemble from producers Ian Levine and Fiachra Trench. Their disco orchestrations from their 1979 album brought this group to dance floors during the dance peak of 1979. In the early 80s the ladies took a shift into the high energy set with tracks like “Primitive Desire” and “Frantic Love”. It was the turning point and survival of dance music which seemed to morph again for the times. “Frantic Love” is a fast moving dance number which sounds like a Broadway musical on steroids. Always a favorite of mine and a floor packer for my sets.

I have taken the 1957 romantic musical “Funny Face” with Fred Astaire and Audrey Hepburn. The fashion edge in the storyline helps bring the dance numbers and music alive in this George Gershwin Broadway hit. The energy works with the disco number and plays out in synchronization.

REISSUE:  I Feel Love - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Donna Summer

Donna Summer and Giorgio Moroder flowed beautifully together in "I Feel Love" and created a whole new sound of dance music. From the moment "I Feel Love" was released I could remember the unfamiliar direction of the synthesizers and the angelic vocals of Summer over them. A moog bass pounding out the rhythm for Moroder's progressive keyboards and processors was and will always be intriguing - this is when you know it was done well. I have finally been reminded by Mario that it have never been ReStructured. And although there are many remixes of this giant (my favorite being The Patrick Cowley) I wanted to use the original 12" mix only and weave together a mystical experience. Again you can feel Donna's fantastic vocals and Giorgio's incredible talents!

REISSUE: "N.Y., You Got Me Dancing" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Andrea True Connection

Gregg Diamond composed and produced "N.Y., You Got Me Dancing" for Andrea True as he did with "More, More, More". This one was the ticket for success for True. It created quite a stir in the clubs for it's time. One of the outlines for discotheques in 1977 - it may have been a staple. Diamond's flawless arrangements was the excitement here. His piano and horn trademark seemed to work even more effectively in this single. I have taken the track for a ReStructure mix with some new electronic percussion and more of Andrea's vocals.

REISSUE: "Hot Shot" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Karen Young

REISSUE: "Hot Shot" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Karen Young

Disco emerged from an underground sound in the mid-70's and one of the pack-leaders was "Hot Shot" by Karen Young. There was a unique sound to this cut during it's time. The hand claps and horn sections raised the roof off many a dance floor, as well as Karen's powerful and tantalizing vocals!

Paul from New York requested this ReStructure - I pulled out the percussion to guide this reedit into a new feel.

REISSUE: “You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Sylvester

REISSUE: “You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Sylvester

1978 was the year that Sylvester’s “Step II” paved a path for disco success. His first LP released in 1977 was a production with a garage-like feel where his tracks “Dance (Disco Heat)” and “You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)” were enhanced with his innovative fusion of synthesizers and keyboards.

These tracks had the energy and feel that discotheques were clamoring for to open the door to the many who needed more definition.

“You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)” is an incredible production that uses a gospel approach to give the song a frenetic and celebratory edge. I have taken parts of the original 12” single mix and chopped the rhythm and synthesizers to regroup the song. It was my intent to give the song a whole new purpose.

Dedicated to the artist and personality of “The Fabulous” Sylvester.

Jerry Peters produced Brainstorm's classic disco hit, "Lovin' Is Really My Game" in 1977 beginning a new found energy for dance floors. This cut was an instant smash hit. It contained elements that are not so easily forgotten. Including an outstanding vocal by Belita Woods. The arrangement has been broken down in this ReStructure for a simple segue in and out of the song.

ReStructure Mix Update (6/21/19) “Love Attack” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Tony Caso

ReStructure Mix Update (6/21/19) “Love Attack” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Tony Caso

Tony Caso is a vocalist known as many voices in Bobby Orlando projects – including Waterfront Home, One-Two-Three and Hotline. During the shift to electronic dance music in the early 80’s Orlando made his mark with productions which stood out on dance floors from Divine and The Flirts. The new underground sound was accepted as if a return to the club haven was beginning all over again. “Love Attack” from 1987 is again a parody of a percussion driven sound he created in the early 80’s. A fast moving vehicle for a return to the extended disco break with vocals. Tony’s vocals are more evident in this take as I see it, of Ferrara’s disco classic by the same name from 1979 – which I am assuming is the all-powerful disco enchantment to lure dancers in a frenzy of desire. In all good fun this one is one of the many Orlando releases which made his sound a major element of the 80’s high energy movement.

I have taken the 12” vocal and dub of “Love Attack” and reworked a HI-NRG ReStructure Mix into a new recipe. It pays more attention to those rolling bass synths that Bobby laid out for us to follow and again, the heavy percussion that gives the hips a workout!

REISSUE: “Baby, Won’t You Dance With Me” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Vera

Vera is a Patti Masi who brought the mystique of disco music alive in the early 80s. Her big club hit “Take Me To The Bridge” from 1981 –produced by Louis Toteda was one the most talked about release in dance circles. It was also my cure for my own desire to hear a beautiful disco arrangement brought up to date at the time. Following this single a flood gate of hits followed bringing Vera a stand on dance floors everywhere. “Baby, Won’t You Dance With Me” is from 1983 and Vera’s album titled “Joey” which became the resource for this ladies beautiful vocal and connection to dance floors.

I have taken the vocal and instrumental of the original Canadian 12” release of “Baby, Won’t You Dance With Me” to work a ReStructure Mix with a non-stop energy injected into the already moving dance arrangement. Using the beautiful sound of the chorus as the outline for more of this incredible stomper which has always been a big hit for my dance floors and me.

This ReStructure Mix is dedicated to Patti Masi (Vera) who will always bring to my mind a wonderful period of rediscovery for lovely dance tracks and haunting performances – and to Louis Toteda for being an incredible producer, writer and musician.

REISSUE: “Dancer" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Gino Soccio

REISSUE: “Dancer" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Gino Soccio

Throughout history in every genre of music a project comes along that changes the face of that music forever. Gino Soccio's "Outline" LP made disco forever grateful. I must admit the first time I ever heard "Dancer" was on a disco radio station and I thought it was a progressive new Andrea True Connection song - only because of Heather Gauthier's fantastic vocals that I believed were somewhat similar. After hearing Gino Soccio following the song I immediately went in search of. And was I ever grateful for that moment on. This LP has "The Visitors", "Dance To Dance" to it's credit also. Quite a production and with Soccio's genius and the outstanding marketing this production still holds it own, as if it were new. Timeless! My ReStructure takes "Dancer" in a new forum with my darker side of our bodies ability to set our minds free.

REISSUE: Dance In Your Pants Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix Erotic Drum Band

REISSUE: Dance In Your Pants   Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix   Erotic Drum Band

Erotic Drum Band is a disco project from 1978 led by producer Peter Di Milo (Ann Joy, Sugar Band Express, Champagne Explosion, Nightlife Unlimited, Jump) and Matthew Campanozzi. A blend of pulsating keyboards and heavy drums in variations which gave dance floors a new fuse. The underground disco sound is alive within this concept band and is considered one of the classic doorways to the disco craze of the late 70s. “Dance In Your Pants” is from their second album from 1980 and pulls out the excitement of the dance floor once again.

I have taken the album version of “Dance In Your Pants” and crated a ReStructure Mix which extended the rolling drums and adds more breaks and a gust appearance from The Godfather of Soul. A new angle of the song is solely dedicated to the man who made it all happen – Peter Dimilo.
