REISSUE: "Take My Heart” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Joe Yellow

REISSUE:  "Take My Heart” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Joe Yellow

Joe Yellow (Domenico Ricchini) is an Italo-disco artist that had a big 1983 single “Lover To Lover” which brought the sound of this dance music to a needy dance floor. It was the heavy synthesizer arrangements along with the dramatic air in vocals that began a new disco power among this period. It was heaven for those who followed and adored disco artist like Giorgio Moroder. “Take My Heart” is his single from 1984 and pulls more of a moody feel with his breathy vocals and yearning chorus. A nice mid-tempo love song with a haunting resonance.

I have taken the 12” vocal of  “Take My Heart” and worked this ReStructure Mix focusing more on extending the original. I have taken advantage of the keyboards and synthesizer parts with rearranging and looping. An homage to the early 80s Italo-disco scene which helped save disco music and make a home for its many artists.
