Isaac Hayes is one of soul/funk and disco music’s leading talents. His productions have given way to a sound which helped to provide a gateway to a full orchestration of dance music along with the touch of funk and soul which made the 70’s the “disco era”. His 1971 score to the film “Shaft” is a classic among audiophiles around the world with its funky “wah-wah” guitar riff and its striking string arrangement. It lives on today on its own merit by taking the movement of the time and making it his own.

I have taken the album version of “Theme from Shaft” and rewired a ReStructure Mix making a mild new escapade for the classic. Adding a new drum track and looping some of the familiar pieces which make this one an icon for the 70’s.
