REISSUE: “Nobody Else” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Karen Silver

REISSUE: “Nobody Else” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Karen Silver Karen Silver is a Canadian artist who made the disco set in 1979 with her big single “Hold On I’m Coming” produced by John Driscoll and Gino Soccio. The heavy bass synths and electronic forces are one of the great offerings to the disco/techno world. Karen has always brought a unique sound to dance music as her delivery always was a reflection of soft rock of the 70’s. “Nobody Else” is another Soccio touch given with Silver’s talent as the funky new age feel with a shaky rhythm track. This one gives a funky moment for Karen to transform herself into the “soul-mama” and does so in her own manner. It is one of the 1981 releases that dominated the disco-edge into the electronic funk of the 80s I have taken the 12” version of “Nobody Else” and transformed the unmistakable rhythm track into a new ReStructure Mix. This one pays again a tribute to both Silver and Soccio in their uniforms that made them so much a part of the early 80s and the shift in dance music.
