ReStructure Mix Update (7/6/22): “You Blow Me Away” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Paul Lekakis

Paul Lekakis is an 80’s singer who brought an anthem to clubs in 1986 titled “Boom Boom (Let's Go Back To My Room)” – produced by Miki Chieregato. The risqué track became an instant hit in many clubs and gave Lekakis his head start in dance music. “You Blow Me Away” is a single released in 1989 and produced by Shep Pettibone. This piece gives way to a high energy love song with the classic Pettibone sample tracks. This one was a popular pick on weekend packed dance floors and gave another anthem riff to Paul’s reputation.

I have taken the 12” vocal, dub and bonus beats versions of “You Blow Me Away” and moved them into the ReStructure Mix feel. There is more of that ripple bass line that makes the skin jump and more of the edits using the vocal sequencer effects.
