ReStructure Mix Update (2/5/23): “Angel You” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Primadonna
Primadonna is Giorgio Dolce, Miyuki Irie and Stefania Dal Pino – an Italo-disco group from the mid-80s. The tempting sound of Italo-disco made the 80s more of a lyrical place on dance floors. “Angel You” is their 1986 single – produced by Giorgio Dolce and living up to the soft and melodic delivery which brought dance floors a sway and gentle release with this concoction of sound. “Angel You” has several hooks that work the beauty into a nice variation of love song meets a mystery. It has that vibrato lead vocal which teases from the first note. This one was always of favorite of mine and my dance floor.
I have taken the 12” club version of “Angel You” and remapped this track for a ReStructure Mix to extend the good feeling. A few pieces of the original via hooks are ornate throughout the mix to bring the groove up to a fluent energy.
