ReStructure Mix Update (7/23/23): “Superparadise” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Romy Haag

Romy Haag (Eduard Frans Verbaarsschott) is a nightclub performer and artist from The Netherlands who released the single “Superparadise” in 1978 - produced by Raymond Bacharach. This track is a fast winding song with the feel of an opening number of a fabulous nightclub act – in the tradition of “La Cage Aux Folles”. This moving number describes a time in the past where all were welcome and quite a menagerie of gods and partygoers would converge and mix. The song moves fast as Romy takes the helm to make this sound as exciting as it could be from the stage.

I have taken the 7” version of “Superparadise” and stripped down the rolling bass and sexy chorus girls to recreate the mood for this ReStructure Mix. A new drum track and some electronic pacing are placed under the song to give it a more heavy foundation.

This ReStructure Mix is dedicated to Carla Monsalve from FB as her request has brought me to discover this fun number that worked itself during the disco peak where all was possible.
