ReStructure Mix Update (11/22/23): “Radio Ga Ga” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Queen
Queen is a rock legend and a dance floor diamond. Their music relayed a new outline challenging rock music’s principles and guidelines with a winning on their creative end. Their 1984 album titled “The Works” – produced by Mack and Queen is another genius of weaving a craft of music. “Radio Ga Ga” is homage to old radio which many lost touch with as soon as the video trends of the 80’s took. The track emphasizes an old world of music forgotten and gives a salute to its power even though time shifts the sound of its content and technology. One of the most genius assemblies is the full on electronic production with percolating bass synthesizers and sharp metal-like keyboards playing out this homage. It is another one of Queen's magic moments for the band and Freddie Mercury’s towering vocal.
I have taken the 12” vocal and instrumental of “Radio Ga Ga” and rewired this classic piece for a ReStructure Mix. The synthesizer bubbling below was too hard to resist for a new dance floor arrangement and the closing being one of a definite fade.
