"Shoulda Gone Dancin'" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - High Inergy

• "Shoulda Gone Dancin'" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - High Inergy

High Inergy hit the scene in 1977 with their Gordy LP, "Turnin' On" - this project was probably one of the earliest recollections of disco with a soulful touch. "You Can't Turn Me Off (In The Middle Of Turning Me On)" was the first big hit from the album - but there was more. If you listen to tracks form the first LP, "Love Is All You Need" you will recognize a soulful yet danceful sound that was beginning a dance revolution.

Their 1979 LP, "Shoulda Gone Dancin'" was their step into the discotheques with no holding back. It s a real cooker and was always at the top of my list during it's release. Produced by Donnell Jones

I have ReStructured the track using the instrumental track, which I try not to do - but the strings on the chorus were just too irresistible. This song is one of the catchiest and one of the most pop-soul dance hits during the disco rein.
