"Keep It Hot" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix -

"Keep It Hot" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Cheryl Lynn

Cheryl Lynn became an overnight disco diva in a matter of notes. Her first album featured the disco classic, "Got To Be Real" and the disco cooker, "Star Love". This was an exciting time for dance floors and Cheryl's career. A turning point for disco history where a voice became a icon for the music.

"Keep It Hot" is from her second LP titled "In Love" produced by Barry Blue - and although it did not share the same success this project is a technical achievement for the pipes this woman possesses. Amazing when you listen to her delivery and range in many of the songs from the album.

I have taken the album version - since it has been untouched and also has the best elements of the session, in my opinion to create a new mix. This ReStructure has more of Cheryl's climatic chorus and also some of the vocal hooks that to this day make me stand and move all over again!

Glenn, thanks so much for revisiting this old favourite and highlighting Cheryl's vocal dexterity in this great new mix. We are huge fans of hers and have all her albums. Some years ago we were lucky enough to see her perform live in LA - she hit her trademark high notes, and raised the roof! She is a true 'one-off'! Nick & Lindsay:)
