"Op Oop Op Oop" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Esther Phillips

"Op Oop Op Oop" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Esther Phillips

Little Esther (alias Esther Phillips) is the queen of blues and soul. Her move to disco music in the late 70s was a treat to dance floors and now music history. The 1979 LP "Here's Esther...Are You Ready" produced by Harvey Mason is a gem.

The project contained a disco version of the standard "Our Day Will Come", a dance version of Elton John's "Philadelphia Freedom" and the disco-mover, "Op Oop Op Oop" - transforming the disco chant into a diva standard!

I have taken the 12" version of this smokin' track and transformed it into a ReStructure movement with lots of loops and rearranging to make you wonder where your feet will move next. A great fun time was had by my mind and soul on this one.

Special thanks and dedicated to Lindsay and Nick - you magic men! You make the music feel deeper and more exciting than ever!

WARNING - You will be unable to stay in your seat while listening to this Restructure Mix! You will soon find yourself on your feet, obeying Esther Mae's command to "do da Freak"! Lots of tasty embellishments and twists & turns cleverly enhance Harvey Mason's brilliant original production. A wonderful tribute to a unique and sadly missed songstress - THANK YOU Glenn!! Nick & Lindsay x
