El Coco is W. Michael Lewis and Laurin Rinder - a
duo moving underground disco of the mid-70s into a new phase. Their
first LP "Mondo Disco" is a successful experimental session using
their musical talent to capture the funky elements of a new
lounge/dance sound.
"Mondo Disco" is one of the grooviest pieces of dance music utilizing the wah-wah guitar and dreamy keyboards in a peculating groove. It is one of my favorite - sensual - songs from Rinder and Leiws.
I have taken the 12" version and created a whole new arrangement and feel for the disco-esque feel of this wonderful song.
