ReStructure Mix Update (1/9/20) “Tight Pants” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Southern Exposure

Southern Exposure is a disco project from producers Willi Morrison and Ian Guenther who also brought us THP Orchestra, The Duncan Sisters, American Fade, The Skatt Brothers, The Grand Tour, The Immortals and Sticky Fingers. This 1979 release is one of the familiar big disco arrangements as their THP #2 project which features a touch of rolling drums and a bit of big band horn sections in and out. “Tight Pants” is a flirty number that echoes the style of Morrison and Guenther to the line and also reminds us of the experimentation of the disco era and the magic it has left behind.

I have taken the album version of “Tight Pants” and recovered the song with a new electro-beat accompaniment to deliver more attention to the slick edge. The chorus is the drop in on several breaks and makes this ReStructure Mix another homage to THP Productions.
