REISSUE: “Everybody” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Madonna
Madonna began her dance career as a dancer for Patrick Hernandez (“Born To Be Alive”) and eventually led to an incredible recording, performing and film career. The first clue we ever heard of this was a single released in 1982 titled “Everybody” produced by Mark Kamins and featured no image of Madonna on the sleeve. If her title was not provoking enough for more there was a bigger force heading our way. The track was a simple electronic dance number which scored very high with dancers and DJs. Learning more about this 80s talent was an experience for all. “Everybody” became one of the street dance hits to help dance floors prepare for another decade of pop-synth dance music with more attached. I have taken the 12” vocal and dub version of “Everybody” on to the ReStructure Mix image and sound to recreate a beat driven arrangement focusing more on the experience that Madonna was breathy about. This one strips away the riffs and elements that make this one a heavy duty classic and prepare a whole new dish.
