REISSUE “Roll” by Macho – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera Macho is one of the early innovative Italian disco productions lead by Mauro Malavasi (Change, Peter Jacques Band) brought the electronic wave in the footsteps of greats like Giorgio Moroder. “I’m A Man” was the first success for Macho which brought Steve Winwood’s rock track to a disco peak with a long extended mix and am arrangement that helped to create the disco mix – thanks to Tom Savarese. I have taken a track from the second Macho album titled “Roll” and used skating sequences from the 2005 comedy-drama film “Roll Bounce” about the talents of those who rein at the roller skating – disco arena. The music provides an alternative feel for the funky soundtrack and places the Italian disco piece in the dramatic “role”! The film was directed by Malcolm D.
